Next up is @2emedanger who joined Shelter for the east coast leg on the Shelter Tour. He’s been around for awhile now but was brand new to me so I didn’t know what to expect. When I first saw him walk on stage his costume reminded me of The Iron Giant, I would later discover it’s based upon the Black Mage character in Final Fantasy. After the first two nights I understood that Danger’s sets were dark and potentially too intense for me. It wasn’t until Boston—when they played in a venue with theater acoustics (the Orpheum)—that I could hear all the nuances in his music. Danger’s attention to detail is insane and I think he’s ahead of the times here in the US. It’s a shame that it gets lost inside American venues with sound systems that were never built to handle dance music.
